Often, we are brought on to personalize a recently purchased house for a quickly approaching move-in date. Such was the case with this Feng Shui, Newport Coast, family home.
We were tasked with creating a sophisticated but durable environment for a young family relocating to Orange County.
Given their time frame and no personal items to work with, we sourced readily available, high-end furnishings, art, and area rugs. At our suggestion, the addition of hardwood to the sunken living room updated the space and added warmth, but also a visual que to guests, and little ones alike, that there was a step down. The painted wood stair railing was replaced with a more contemporary iron design and the previously carpeted steps were replaced with hardwood and a plush runner.
As planned, we welcomed the family to their new home in-time for the new school year.
